New Laptop For My Presentation Career, Macbook Air Mid 2011…

Hi there,

Just want to share I’m going to get a new laptop for use on my presentation at client sites.

Here is criteria I’m using to select my new presentation weapon.

  • Mainly for portability
  • Should support for partial works on web development using Ruby on Rails
  • Long life battery
  • Looking good to great
  • In a reasonable price tag
  • 13″ screen, no smaller display because I used to do web development sometime

If you are using the same criteria as mine, you should ends up the same with what I’ve chosen.

It’s Apple Macbook Air 13″ (Mid 2011) because it ends up with these criteria well.

Here is its own strength points.

  • Ultra portability, very slim and light weight
  • Battery life is so good for me, maybe the help of Mac OSX
  • Even the CPU is ULV series but its performance also gained by using SSD storage
  • It’s fast enough for everyday use and satisfy for my Ruby on Rails web development
  • Great display resolution for 13″ screen
  • Price is fair

I will review more soon. Just write this short post to test a functionality in my new Facebook app.

Thanks,
Seree

How to read your purchased Kindle eBooks on your other devices

Hi there,

Today I just want to share how do I copy my purchased Kindle eBooks into my Sony Reader Touch Edition. (PRS-600)

Well, after I’ve purchased ebooks from my Kindle app on iPad, I got too less available time to read the ebooks on my iPad because my son always playing with it.

So, I decide to copy the purchased ebooks from Kindle to my Sony Reader.

Kindle eBooks

Anyway, it is not easy as I think, even I’ve some experienced with Calibre.

After I’ve did some research, I found a working solution to do this.

Here are requirements

  • My iDevice, in case of mine, it is iPad and iPhone, just pick one device
  • Calibre, download here
  • DRM Tools, download here
  • Your e-Reader, in case of mine, it is Sony Reader PRS-600 Touch Edition
If you try to drag and drop the .azw files into Calibre, you will finally found that you can’t view the eBook because it is DRM protected.
So, you have to remove the DRM protection before importing to Calibre library.
And here is how…
  • Extract the downloaded DRM Tools Archive
  • Open Calibre, go to Preferences and select to add new plug-in
  • Select the file ‘K4MobiDeDrmXX.zip’ in ‘Calibre_Plugins’ folder
  • Then click on customize the plug-in button, it will ask for your PID
  • Open your browser and visit http://kindletools.prestonlee.com/
  • Connect your iPad/iPhone to your computer, open iTunes and see its UUID, it will be a 40 hex characters
  • Enter your email address and your UUID in the ‘Reader Serial’ textbox and click ‘Calculate’
  • Copy your generated PID
  • Back to Calibre, paste your PID here
  • Restart Calibre
  • Now you can drag and drop the .azw files into Calibre library without doing any extra tasks, the Calibre will automatically remove DRM protection from the eBooks you dropped by
  • Now just convert the ebooks and send to your device as usual via Calibre

It should works for you too.

**PS: I don’t provide this information to support illegal activities, please purchase the books and don’t relate to piracy, all books are worth its own content and I do not responsible how you use this information.

NSD Powerballs – First impression from me

Well, here I come to share my experience about the NSD Powerball.

As currently, I’ve ‘real’ retired from my full time job getting salary since Feb 2011 and working for my online business seriously.

I got more available time to work, exercise and I’m currently sticking with playing Badminton with my family.

It’s fun and I love to keep myself on the competitive area. :)

I’ve play and found my wrist is lack of power and flexibility, so, I try to find out how to improve/strengthen my wrist quickly using some source of science.

And finally I found about NSD Powerball.

What is the Powerball?

NSD Powerball

You can find out full details at http://www.nsdpowerballs.com but the short brief about it is…

Powerball is a tool you can use to strengthen your wrists and arms.

You can bring it with you anywhere because it is actually a small ball with some electric circuit ball inside.

At the top of it, you will see a small meter which it try to tell you how fast you can turn/twist your wrist, when your wrist is more strength, the number will goes higher and higher.

Here is what is the max RPM I can do in the first day after got the powerball.

NSD Powerball

Anyway, if you just got the powerball same as me, you can to beware how you handle it in your hand or you will get some pain like me…

NSD Powerball wrong handle

Well, now let’s talk how you and me play it.

1st, you need to start the powerball, this can be done by 2 ways…

- Using the red cable bundled with the powerball set. I need about 10-20 times practice before I can start it with 100% success rate. Just pull the cable quick enough.

- Using your thumb to flick it, I can’t do it yet, when I succeeded, I will provide a tip here. My goal is to master this approach in the next week.

2nd, just twist your wrist only to keep the powerball spinning…

You will hear a spinning sound from the Gyro scope within the powerball, the sound will louder if you make a higher RPM.

The powerball will burn your arm’s power in no time from now, if you would like a hard experience, just spin your wrist quicker and quicker.

My arm’s power was burnt down in less than 30 seconds after a quicker spin!

Oh man, this is what I really want, The Powerball!

You will wonder like me that WTF the powerball can be done!

Even it is just a small ball, it is very very heavy when you spin the powerball.

After a month, I will report here again how much I gain from the Powerball when I play Badminton. :)

Here is the video of me spinning the Powerball for the first time!

My first spin of NSD Powerball

BTW: Beware of low quality of the Powerball! Please make sure you get a high quality, lifetime guarantee from NSD Powerball, not a copy from China. :)

What are you waiting for?

Find and get a Powerball now!

iPad short review

Hee ya,

Just got an iPad from friend traveling to US.

From what I have played about a week. I found it really attracted me much more than I think.

- very fast responsive.
- rich of content through iTunes.
- big screen expand the opportunities to do things on the device.

Anyway, from my point of view, it has some flaws.

- a bit heavy?
- I hate on screen keyboard. ;(
- app is a bit expensive when compare to iPhone.

However, I am very happy that I got it. ;)

Cheers,
Seree W.

I want to buy a full version of games from Playstation Store, but my credit card could not be added!

Hey mate,

After I’ve got my PS3 a few days, I’ve downloaded so many demos here to play and found that Warhawk is one of the coolest title for FPS style. So, I willing to buy a full version online through Playstation Store.

I’ve added Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Bionic Commando into my shortlist as well.

But…

When I try to add my credit card to purchase them, it seems Playstation Store rejects my card even I normally use it for my online life.

After I’ve researched, I found that the root cause come from the region of Playstation Network ID that I’ve registered for.

My Playstation Network ID was registered on U.S. zone but my card was issued on Thailand.

So, Playstation Store reject my card, or I can say, they will reject any cards outside of U.S. as well. :(

Too bad, I want to pay for games but they didn’t sell it. :D Funny marketing!?

However, I just found out a way to bypass this problem now. I can do it without using Playstation Network Card as well. (I never seen PSN Card selling in Thailand)

I’ll write here how to do it with visual guide step-by-step.

Keep checking.

Happy gaming!
