One thing that i would like to point out is that in the application.rb file make sure that the order of js files is JQuery and then rails.js because rails.js depends on the functions defined in JQuery file.

If everything else is done correctly and the order is not right then also the delete won’t work.

Sorry for long lately on part #2, it is in draft state.

However, the information is outdated now due to the quick advancement of ASP.NET MVC.

Also, I already moved my primary development platform to Ruby on Rails & PHP, so I didn’t have much time to involves on ASP.NET MVC 3.

However, I will try to write a fresh content about IoC on ASP.NET MVC 3 in my future and will be notify here.

In my PreUpdate, I just check if user had submitting new image or not and process it with this piece of code.

$this->setBannerUrl($this->banner->guessExtension());
$size = getimagesize($this->banner);
$this->setBannerWidth($size[0]);
$this->setBannerHeight($size[1]);
}

For PostUpdate, I check if user submitting new image, I will remove the old file from upload directory like this.

if ($this->banner) {
$extension = $this->banner->guessExtension();
$this->banner->move($this->getUploadRootDir().’/banners’, $this->id.’.’.$extension);

unset($this->banner);
}
