Hi fellow marketer,

After I’ve spend my last 1 year and half to learn and implement Internet marketing knowledge from bad to great marketers, I found that the first thing made you not achieve success is… you are working on not deep enough niche.

Speak simply, it’s a niche that too broad. I’ll give you my example from my experiences after implemented about 4 niches and I got succeeded just one niche.

You might known that I’m marketing and selling Wordpress related product. Its name is “FasterIM Opt-in plug-in for Wordpress”. Sorry for that so bad name and I’ll made it more appeal in the next major version release on August 2009.

I target this niche with the keyword “wordpress opt-in plug-in” and I succeeded with it.

Other of my niches are targeting on 2-3 words but there are all completely failed.

With the reason of… It’s not deep or long tail enough. However, this might not be your problem if you know how to kick out your competitors but for rookie like me, I don’t know how to do that, I just want a simple prove that I can make a decent income online. So, what I want at the start is a “Simplicity” and actually “Made me money”.

I got that all from the niche “wordpress opt-in plug-in” even it have some competitors but I know my product has a Unique Selling Point that made my plug-in shine above my competitors.

So, if you are a beginner on Internet marketing field, I suggest you to hard work on niche research process.

Take your time as much as you can on this process and I can guarantee, you will made a decent income from it.

Don’t forget to check if your chosen niche is deep enough. 3-4 words will be easier to kick out your competitor.
