So I decide to move ScrapeBox from home PC to work on VPS.

Last few days, I feel like ScrapeBox is hogging almost of my home network connection’s resource.

So I decide to move ScrapeBox from home PC to work on VPS.

After I’ve research some to find out where is the best VPS provider that fits for ScrapeBox and it doesn’t cost too high to invest.

And I found XSServer.eu is in the case, it is proven to be able to use ScrapeBox and many white-to-black marketers are using its service.

Then, I pick up a $35/month plan immediately for unmetered bandwidth + 1GB ram which I think it is best fit for ScrapeBox while another plan such as $25 for 512MB of ram also fit for tiny use of ScrapeBox as well but I think I will be a hardcore user so I decide to get at least 1GB of ram. Minimal.

After an hour since I’ve made a payment to XSServer, I got an email notified that they created my VPS machine successfully.

I’m a bit happy for their quick response to create a VPS. Anyway, I think they can make it quicker too.

Now I open up my Mac OS X Lion and open Microsoft RDC and connect my VPS remotely. Success.

Anyway, after I’ve uploaded my ScrapeBox archive file into my VPS, I can’t run it successfully.

ScrapeBox show me that it might have some thing block ScrapeBox or some application tampered the TCP data.

If you got the same error like mine, you can have a test by going to Help->Test Server menu and see the result.

For me, I got 5 green lights and red light on the server 1′s Access Test.

This mean I’m getting a problem with ScrapeBox now.

Can’t make it works, so I guess it should be some issue with VPS environment because I didn’t installed any other softwares on it and it is pure vanilla.

So I begin to create a support ticket with XSServer.eu support department.

Well worth, like what I’ve heard from research, they response very quickly. If you are in front of me, I would say… “It’s f*ck’n fast response!”

Anyway, even they have fast response time, but their information not so helpful for my case because finally they want me to contact ScrapeBox to troubleshoot the thing and said it’s not the problem with VPS.

Ok, ok, then I try to contact ScrapeBox. If you are trying to contact ScrapeBox at their contact page, you will ends up seeing it let you contact by sending email to scrapeboxhelp (a) gmail.com.

Anyway, from what I’ve tried myself, I suggest you to use support (a) scrapebox.com instead of the one on gmail.

They do response on the second one much quicker.

And it is awesome!

Their support staff is very very informative, helpful and get straight into the core issue.

They are very professional. Even I don’t know who is the person I communicate with but I would like to say he/she is very professional and impress me.

Even the second license transfer fee, they waived for me.

Finally it works…

By a prove from ScrapeBox log that it is some issue with VPS environment itself, not the ScrapeBox itself.

So I send this information to XSServer.eu support staff, and they response with a very good effort.

They create a pure new VPS in the another node of their network to help me immediately.

And it is working like a charm now! New license is transferring to my new VPS and I can’t wait to get ScrapeBox running now.

6 green lights are great. I really love it.

However, while the concentration is good but you probably lose a chance to do some upsell-like for them.

So, I decide to place related offers to let them see too but the scenario in my head are…

Luckily, I cracked the code…

What I did are…

• When I got laser targeted traffic for the main CPA offer, I will show only the main offer. Only***
• I will change the link to real offer to use some type of pop-over to force visitor to stay on my side while they are taking action (like doing survey)
• When they completed taken action on the main offer, they close the pop-over
• Now the page will zoom out the main CPA offer and display related offers in the bottom area of it

• Wide range of payout rate, low payout usually convert very well as it is almost free offers while higher payout offers convert lower but still significantly higher than normal affiliate marketing which force visitor to buy.
• Short time to begin make money. Depends on your strategy, you can make money in less than 10 minutes using CPA. You don’t have to prepare a lot of things as doing in info product marketing.
• Affiliate manager is serious about your success, almost every CPA network I applied for, has a dedicated affiliate manager which truly useful for you CPA marketing career. They keen to help you get success.

From my experiences

Even though, the CPA marketing can help you begin make money online fast, but the generic strategy of CPA marketer is ineffective.

If you did some research, you almost found that many CPA marketers are just using a simple steps to make money from CPA offers.

• Apply some CPA network
• Find a good offers related to their niche
• Put a banner into the site

What am I missing on my CPA campaign?

You probably did a good job on CPA but have you applied some techniques/strategies from selling to yours?

Yup, it works, I’ve tested, and I would say it works very well, just apply up-sell strategy into my CPA campaign, I boosts my CPA income at least over 180%!

Well, I think the main reason should be the visitor that tends to apply for a free stuff from CPA offers are looking for freebies without wanting to spend a buck.

If you attract them with a free thing, you can also attract them more with another free and related CPA offers that in the same category with the one they attracted.

So, I just boosts up my CPA profit by adding up few related CPA offers to the landing page at the bottom of main offer.

And I implement a pop-over on the main offer so my visitor didn’t leave from this page while they are exchanging information with the free stuff. So, they can see other related offers after they exchanged one.

Today I want to write my perspective and summarize about the good and bad of CPA.

Note that it is come from my personal experiences on CPA after working with CPA and making some money from it.

It means you can get commissions from vendor without driving a ‘BUY‘ traffic to their sales page.

It is very easy right? as your driven traffic don’t have to buy from vendor, they just have to take a short survey, download an application, document, give an email, give a phone number or else and you get commissions.

It is very easy because they don’t have to BUY or to talk straightly, they do have nothing to lose to get some useful information!

So we, as Internet marketers, don’t have to hardly find a hungry traffic to drive anymore.

Just find a prospect and bingo, watch the money raking in your bank account.

I will share you guys in the next week after I’ve more experienced with NicheReaper, also, I will share here the result from trying to market a niche by using Phrase Match instead of Exact Match.

Luckily, I didn’t given up with it and later I found out why I had to ‘failed’.

My problem is the keyword research task.

If you have done keyword research the right way, you probably win in 60% rate.

The great thing is that the remaining 40%, you can do it later, any time.

What’s the right way to do keyword research?

There is only one rule, using the data from Google AdWords Keyword Tool with EXACT match option!

You can use the tool on Google website or it can be any other 3rd party application, just to make sure it query search data from Google AdWords.

Here is the step.

Normally, you just type your niche market keyword into the keyword box.

And normally here is the result which looks promising… (5,400/month for me is good enough if this is niche marketing website)

Anyway, this is unusable for me and it is not truly been searched 5,400/month because the default matching option of the tool is Broad match and Broad match will never drive you a laser targeted traffic!

You have to change the option to use Exact matching option. (It is on the left side)

Then, the result will refresh look like this…

Here is a measurable statistics for niche marketers who is targeting for the keyword “workout plans for weight loss”.

Yes, the truly search volume is only 880/month for this keyword, it is not 5,400/month.

So, if you are doing niche marketing, you 100% don’t want to waste your time with this keyword.

Just find a better one with this right keyword research method.

But from my test after I got some few PR5 domain names and put backlinks there, the result doesn’t worth what I got to pay for those PR5 domains at all.

Well, the high PR backlinks I got from those PR5 domains might affect my SERP ranking, but I don’t feel I benefits a little bit from it!

So, from now on, what I think to concentrate on the domain is not to get the high PR domain, but the domain that contain targeted keywords will worth the money!

No more aged domain, high PR domain to be purchased by me anymore except the case that it contains targeted keywords.

After I’ve spend my last 1 year and half to learn and implement Internet marketing knowledge from bad to great marketers, I found that the first thing made you not achieve success is… you are working on not deep enough niche.

Speak simply, it’s a niche that too broad. I’ll give you my example from my experiences after implemented about 4 niches and I got succeeded just one niche.

You might known that I’m marketing and selling WordPress related product. Its name is “FasterIM Opt-in plug-in for WordPress”. Sorry for that so bad name and I’ll made it more appeal in the next major version release on August 2009.

I target this niche with the keyword “wordpress opt-in plug-in” and I succeeded with it.

Other of my niches are targeting on 2-3 words but there are all completely failed.

With the reason of… It’s not deep or long tail enough. However, this might not be your problem if you know how to kick out your competitors but for rookie like me, I don’t know how to do that, I just want a simple prove that I can make a decent income online. So, what I want at the start is a “Simplicity” and actually “Made me money”.

I got that all from the niche “wordpress opt-in plug-in” even it have some competitors but I know my product has a Unique Selling Point that made my plug-in shine above my competitors.

So, if you are a beginner on Internet marketing field, I suggest you to hard work on niche research process.

Take your time as much as you can on this process and I can guarantee, you will made a decent income from it.

Don’t forget to check if your chosen niche is deep enough. 3-4 words will be easier to kick out your competitor.

What’s long-tail marketing?

Recently there is a huge stir around the phrase “long tail marketing.”

It primarily deals with retailing online and makes some real interesting points you should consider.

The concept is by Chris Anderson and you can get his book at Amazon.

But what does it all mean?

It means get busy with keywords and content to get all the searches possible to your site.

People do search differently so you must consider all keywords that relate to you.

An example is a hobby site.

Imagine the “length of the tail” in how many keywords that could be.

Everything from backyards to zebras.

It’s the length of the tail when all of those keywords are connected that can bring you more business.

Think about a big tail on a huge animal, it covers a lot of ground and gets your attention when connected to an alligator!

So to coin a phrase, “get your tail moving” and leave no rocks unturned.

Some search for refrigerators and for some it is an ice box or the fridge.

Think about what people name things in other parts of the world that are the same thing in your world.

In keyword research it is easy to spot and grow niches.

Low search counts at the top 3 search engines can mean business for you when there is no competition.

Use Wordtracker to find out what these less used search engine searches can do for you.

So what if there are only 6 searches a month for an item?

if you happen to sell that item and no one else does, you want that business.

The long tail of search phrases will build traffic.

You can not count on 80% of your traffic coming from 20% of your top used keywords based on readings at Google.

Because competition for highly used words is so big, long tail marketing makes perfect sense.

If you are an Adsense publisher, imagine how many more relative ads you could display on all of those new low competition keyword pages.

It is the total searches from all of those less used words that make using them worthwhile.

Create your content with a broader base of keywords to see the effect.

Watch your site stats and be amazed at all of the new search terms you’ll be found with.

Many will tell you more content or more products would be easy to market.

With search engines today it is all about content and keywords, and Google flat out says so in their webmaster guidelines.

Long tail marketing is real easy with search engines.

All you have to do is know the words people use.
